Puppy Day a-Gley?

A bit of a possible snag has emerged. According to the shelter's rules, an unfixed dog cannot be adopted out until it is fixed. They'll do the operation on-site, but the vet who does it only comes by once or twice a week. So... If the dogs that catch my fancy happen to be already fixed, then they'll come home with me on Friday. If not, it may be a few more days. We shall see.

We made arraignments for the neutering when we adopted our cats, and we were able to take them home with us. (Of course, maybe they were just full up with cats and needed the space.)
Do you have a preference of males or females? The names you mentioned earlier sound more like male names to me.
It has been almost a year since we had to put down Stinky. I find I miss him more than I thought I would.
Thanks - Peter

I still have occasional flashes of grief. The oddest things can remind me.
