For some reason, I can't read today's Narbonic (Director's Cut) strip (the second one from the top) without remembering a certain scene from The Goodbye Girl:

Puppy Day a-Gley?

A bit of a possible snag has emerged. According to the shelter's rules, an unfixed dog cannot be adopted out until it is fixed. They'll do the operation on-site, but the vet who does it only comes by once or twice a week. So... If the dogs that catch my fancy happen to be already fixed, then they'll come home with me on Friday. If not, it may be a few more days. We shall see.
