I complained, some time ago, about being harassed by telephone solicitors concerning the (nonexistent) warranty on my (nonexistent) vehicle. [livejournal.com profile] carbonelle advised me that, by waiting to the end of the call, I could signal my desire not to be further bothered. (The specific signal was "Press 2".)

I have now followed her advice. Three times. (Once it was "Press 9", but I take that as the moral equivalent.)

I'm guessing that the problem is that more than one group was involved, and I'm going to have to swat all of them to get it to stop. (The 2/9 switch seems to support this possibility.)
