Progress, and Other New Things
Mar. 8th, 2011 03:37 pmI have completely solved Case IIIA of the problem I'm working on, and verified that one of the subcases of Case II actually doesn't happen. That leaves the other three subcases, plus (the biggie) Case IIIB. I'm still hoping to finish the whole thing by the end of March, but I have no real idea how to tackle IIIB.
In a somewhat celebratory mood, I made a big batch of Brunswick stew. Of course, I won't be able to eat any of it tomorrow (Ash Wednesday) or Friday (since Lent will have begun), but that will only make it tastier on Thursday and Saturday.
I just found a button on my computer that, when you press it, toggles between the usual display and a random slideshow of all of my digital pictures.
I also just won my first game of Civ IV on the new computer (Cultural Victory, playing as Hatshepsut; about 9K points), and am about to install Civ V. There is no paper manual. I will probably have to look for the BradyGames guide, if it's out yet.
