I've finally returned to reading Heyer's The Spanish Bride; this time I'm making good progress.

Given that there's a significant amount of Spanish in the book, would it have been too much trouble to employ a proofreader who actually knew some Spanish? "A buen bambre no bay pan duro", indeed!

I recently obtained Mary Chapin Carpenter's Party Doll album, on a recommendation from [livejournal.com profile] desertvixen. I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but I've enjoyed most of what I've heard. I do, however, have a bit of a beef.
