Just a quick note on this evening's episode of Stargate SG-1, cut for spoilers: it was an entertaining and highly fraught episode, but I'm a bit troubled by the fact that Dr. Jackson seems either to have not realized or to not be reacting to the fact that his and Vala's "hosts" burned to death in their stead. Now, granted, Daniel and Vala never actually met those two, but their blunders did end up betraying them and their ally wossname - whom D and V did meet. Is this in character? Should I expect him to react at some point in the future?

As I've mentioned before, I'm new to the series. I've begun watching the Monday night episodes to get more backstory, but the first one I saw was the one in which Jackson... died. Needless to say, I don't have a firm grip on his character yet. (I have snooped around enough to have some idea how he, uh, recovered from dying.)
