Congestion

For years now, the standard seating arrangement in my den has been this. I sit in the chair at my desk; Gracie curls up under the chair or in the cubby under the desk; Buster lies down over in the far corner. This is the way things are; Gracie is a cuddlebug and wants to be near me, and Buster is satisfied just to be within eyeshot. Getting up is a bit of a problem, as I have to avoid either stepping on or putting the chair down on Gracie.

For the last couple of days, though, Buster has been positioning himself next to the chair, just left and rearward from me. If I let my left arm drop, I can scritch him, and he'll deliver a few licks to my hand.

I wonder what's going through Buster's head these past few days. I also wonder howinell I'm going to get out of this chair.
