Follow-up

The bird was still in the house this morning, so I opened the porch doors again and went about my morning business. An hour or so later, I looked for it again and didn't see it anywhere. I've reclosed the doors, in the hope that this avian episode is over. (I've been fooled before in this situation, but enough time has elapsed without a sighting that I am reasonably confident.)
