Two consecutive songs on my randomized playlist: Don McLean's gentle ballad "Winterwood" and Pat Benatar's searing "Hell Is for Children". Ow.

I enjoy that kind of whiplash from time to time. It reminds me of the rollercoasters & other thrill rides I loved as a kid.

It occurs to me that McLean also put out a song about child abuse (among other things): "Have You Seen Me?" The focus is a bit different than Benatar's, though.
