Misinvoice

The package containing my new coffee grinder arrived from Amazon a few days ago, but I only just got around to opening it. After carrying the box with the grinder into the kitchen, I brought the invoice in to my computer room. The original message from Amazon included estimates as to S/H and sales tax, so the transaction data I'd entered at that time was only provisional; I wanted to correct them if necessary.

Sitting down and peering at the invoice, I noticed that the total listed was almost $80 more than the original estimate. Looking more closely, I noticed that the last item was for a laptop car-charger. I didn't notice that in the box. The item above it was for a Logitech keyboard; before that, a set of four Phood Shakes (whatever those are); and at the top, a screen projector for a Samsung Galaxy.

In other words, it was the invoice for a completely different order.

I wonder about the person who should have gotten that invoice. Is s/he someone who would have ordered a coffee grinder and DVDs of Frozen and Predestination? Is s/he someone who actually looks at invoices? How often does this happen?
