While I remain generally happy with the new computer, I am distressed by a couple of things, one of which may be unfixable.
1) Most of my files were transferred. However, it appears that my Mathematica files from the last four years weren't - which includes all those polyhedron algorithms I worked out for the study of geodesics, and all my data on special classes of polygons. I'm not sure what they've done with the old hard drive....
2) I can't, right now, log in on my office computer from home. It shouldn't be difficult to fix that, but I will need to talk to OIT about it.
Grmph.
