"Grimly pleased" is a good description. It is hardly *sporting,* to say the least. I hope it passes.
Here, in our state, we have a newly allowed hunting technique: killing coyotes from a helicopter or plane. The hunters got 16 this week in one area. The reason? Game&Fish rep said that coyotes were reducing the antelope population. We *do* want antelope available for hunting...
I understand both sides of the hunting issue; carried out properly, it is a sport for many people, although I have no interest in it. But shooting from the comfort of your computer chair or using assault rifles to mow down deer seems to take all the skill out of it. And besides, I quite *like* coyotes, she whines.
