stoutfellowThe scene: I have just lain down for a nap. As usual, Gracie has leaped up on the bed, and is curled up near my midsection, and Buster is higher up, curled into my armpit.
My stomach growls. Both dogs immediately leap to their feet, barking furiously; Buster jumps down and rushes to the window to defy whatever-it-is, and Gracie dives under the bed.
