stoutfellowI have a fairly large collection of backgrounds; my computer cycles through them, switching once a day. One, which I've had literally for years, is from Girl Genius.
The picture depicts Gil (on the left) envisioning Agatha (on the right) in someone's arms. It was not until this evening that I noticed that the someone has red hair and glasses; i.e., it's not Gil, but Tarvek. Not wish-fulfillment, but fear-fulfillment.
How on Earth did I not notice that until now?
