stoutfellowAs far back as 2007, I recognized that Obama, if elected, would be the first President younger than me. Today, for some reason, I decided to take a look at the birthdates of the current Senate.
More than a quarter - 26 - of the current Senators are younger than I am.
"Senex" means "old".

Date: 2013-11-24 06:43 pm (UTC)Then I think about how my 90-year-old mother must feel -- she's old enough to be Bill Clinton's mother (my sister is 12 years older than I am).
Not only that, but she's a dyed-in-the-wool Dixiecrat who lives in Texas. I suspect she thought the world was going to end on January 20, 2009, but as we've learned never to discuss politics with one another, I'll never know for sure.
