Gracie is unhappy with me. She's currently hiding under the couch.
Last Tuesday, when I took her in for dental work, she had to have a couple of teeth pulled. The vet gave me a couple of bottles of medicine for her, to be administered twice daily. I've been giving them to her with peanut butter (easier to deal with than butter or cheese), and she's been no trouble about it - until this morning. When I went into the kitchen and made the usually-attractive noises (verbal, opening and closing the pantry door, unscrewing the lid of the PB jar), Buster came running - he's still on his meds - but Gracie refused. When I called her, she approached no nearer than the edge of the living room carpet, and when I gave her the medicine-laced peanut butter she managed to lick most of it off and expel the pills.
It took several minutes of struggle, culminating in my literally shoving the pills down her throat, to finish the job. After dosing Buster - a much easier task - I came out of the kitchen and called to Gracie, to make up with her. That was when she went under the couch.
I shall have to think about other ways of inducing her to take her medicine.
