In Cordwainer Smith's Instrumentality series, especially "The Ballad of Lost C'Mell" and Norstrilia, one of the great leaders of the oppressed underpeople is named E'Telikeli. (As is the custom, the first letter indicates his original species - eagle - and the rest is his name proper.) He is a towering figure; even Lord Jestocost is affected by his charisma.

filkertom just posted a video of the Muppets version of "Bohemian Rhapsody". Watching it, I realized that my mental image of E'Telikeli closely resembles Sam the Eagle.

I'm not sure how I feel about that.
