Why I Bought It: Atallyra's urging.
What I Like (Happy): "Make Me Smile". It does. What else is there to say? Honorable Mention: "Wake Up Sunshine".
What I Like (Pensive): "Colour My World". A mellow meditation on love, and a lovely song.
What I Like (Quirky): "25 or 6 to 4". A song about nothing, but a frisky one. Making a song about trying to make a song....
What I Like (Appeal): "Where Do We Go From Here". A fair number of Chicago's early songs were political in nature; this is, to my mind, one of the best of these.
Overall: Although divided into twenty-five cuts, this album actually consists of a small number of long (sometimes very long) pieces; "Make Me Smile" and "Colour My World", for instance, are part of a single composition. That makes it a little difficult to evaluate overall - not least because, though I like those two songs, other parts of that extended piece don't appeal to me at all. Still, there's enough enjoyable stuff here to make it worth listening to.
