Album Title: Beatles for Sale

Why I Bought It: Completism.

What I Like (Toe-Tapping): "I'll Follow the Sun". The tune is surprisingly bouncy for a goodbye song.... Honorable mention: their cover of Chuck Berry's "Rock and Roll Music".

What I Like (Melancholy): "I Don't Want to Spoil the Party". I knew this song previously as sung by Rosanne Cash; her cover is pretty good too.

What I Like (Nostalgic): "Eight Days a Week". I'm not sure what the first Beatles song I was consciously aware of was; it might have been "Help" or "A Hard Day's Night", but I think it was this one.

What I Don't Like (Conceit): "Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby". A fair number of the Beatles' songs fall in this self-absorbed category; I have no truck with those.

Overall: This is a pretty weak album for the Beatles, all things considered. "I'm a Loser", "Every Little Thing", and "No Reply" are comfortable songs, but there isn't really anything to get excited about on this one.
