stoutfellowI always get butterflies, the day that the summaries of the student evaluations from the previous term are given to us. Today, they were more than justified.
The evaluations from the two advanced classes, in linear algebra and geometry, were not good. Those from calculus were flat-out bad.
The faults that were pointed out are chronic with me; I shall have to try to bring them to heel again.
Fortunately, the evaluations from Spring and Summer terms were fairly good. Still, I can't envision the Peer Review Committee giving me a rating any higher than Satisfactory in teaching....
Definitely feeling down tonight. Chocolate creme pie did not help much.
