Getting Things Done

It's been a busy couple of days. Yesterday, I met again with the MassMutual agent; we made a couple of phone calls to ING and TIAA to arrange the rollovers, and I filled out the paperwork to set up the new account. There's some fine print in my TIAA contract; they won't hand over the whole thing in a lump, but only in ten blocks at one-year intervals. ING will pass over the whole amount immediately. (We also got updated balances on both accounts; I was relieved to find that, though my ING account lost almost $7K in the last quarter, they've recovered about half that amount already this month.) So that's (almost) taken care of. Still have to sign some paperwork on the rollovers.
This morning, I ran over to Sears Hardware to arrange for the new hot-water heater. It cost a good bit more than I'd hoped, but a couple of gift cards knocked it down by about 20%. The installer said they should be able to get the job done tomorrow morning. (My classes tomorrow begin at 4:30, so I'll be able to be here all morning.) On the way back, I had a brief panic attack (do I really have a gas heater, or is it electric?), but was able to reason my way out of it. I did go down to the basement to make absolutely sure.
Also yesterday, I returned to the first prisms paper, after a hiatus of a month or two, and supplied what should be the last content. There are some formatting issues I need to deal with, but that shouldn't take more than a few days. Then I'll send it off, and get cracking on writing the quadrilaterals paper. I've already mapped that one out in my head, so it should go fairly quickly.
Here's hoping this burst of precrastination will continue for a while.
