As I mentioned earlier, the family gift exchange was Sunday. I received two gifts.
One of my nieces gave me a three-disc Santana album.
One of my great-nieces gave me a cold.
Sigh.

Date: 2004-12-27 12:43 am (UTC)Pretty much, yes, although I'm still a little phlegmy. My brother was hit hard for a few days, and my father had a brief but nasty go-round with it, but we're all recuperating.
The Santana album includes the old standbys - "Black Magic Woman", "Oye Como Va", "Evil Ways" - and a bunch of songs I'm not familiar with. I won't be able to listen to them until I get back home, though.

Date: 2004-12-27 02:03 pm (UTC)Well, I hope you all kick the colds soon then!!
I always seem to get sick right when vacation hits and I'm with my family -- I seem to be staving it off this time though (knock on wood!).
The Santana album sounds great!! I love "Oye Como Va" -- it's a great chacha!! ;-)
Tom is a big Santana fan, and I've turned into one too. It helps that one of my friends plays lots of Santana in the lab back at Duke. He and Tom have a lot of musical tastes in common, which has come in handy for me getting them both presents!!!
I know what you mean about not being able to listen to them though -- Tom's parents are out for the afternoon\early evening so we're going to hijack the laptop and try to play my Buffy DVDs on their TV!!! Finally!! I got seasons 2&3 for Christmas!! :-)
Hope you enjoy the rest of your time off!!
