It is past 10 PM. Admittedly, it's a Saturday night, and part of a three-day weekend to boot. Still:
There is something grossly impolite about a group of teenage-to-twenties kids shooting hoops, outside, in a residential neighborhood, this late. I have made my annoyance with this known to them, and more than once; when I yell at them, they stop - but only for that one occasion.
I find it hard to get to sleep with that going on. It's not particularly loud, but its intermittent and irregular nature draws the attention like a magnet. Also, it upsets Gracie, and if she gets to barking I'll never be able to drop off.
Grmph.
