I was reminded, this evening, of the power a teacher has - of the impact that a casual word, or even a careful one, can have. If she were more of an introvert, I would never have known how badly I scared her. (I'm pretty sure I hurt her, but that may have been unavoidable. Scaring her... was avoidable.)
