"The Wonders I've Seen"
Feb. 14th, 2011 06:53 pmI'm getting to the end of Season 3 in my rewatch of Farscape, and there's a bit from the Season 3 opening credits which kind of amuses me. In the voice-over, Crichton is meditating on his dilemma: should he try to return to Earth and risk leading the Scarrans or the Peacekeepers there, or should he stay away? "But then you'll never know the wonders I've seen...."
As he speaks these words, we get the following images:
"But then you'll never know": Chiana turning away from a window and towards the camera
"The wonders I've seen": Crichton and D'Argo floating in space above the burning Gammak Base
:swelling music: : Crichton comforting a distraught Chiana
:more music: : the beginning of the final attack on the Shadow Depository
which leads to the inescapable conclusion that the wonders he's speaking of are a) Chiana and b) things Crichton and his crew have blown up.
Oookay....
