Still sick. I dismissed class about ten minutes early today; my voice was giving out. I went to lunch and came home right after that. I did get a little more work done on the paper; I'm definitely done with the first half of Part II. (There was some tricky case analysis that I had to work out in detail.) The second half has two - or maybe three - big sub-parts... I don't have another lecture until 4:30 tomorrow, though I do have a meeting with a student about her Senior Project at 2:00. I should be able to give my throat a rest, for a while at least.

A question: the - or a - purpose of fast-forward is so that you don't have to watch the parts of the tape that you don't want to. So why is it that that's the time you have to watch the tape most intently? Life ain't fair sometimes.

I hope you start getting better soon! Trying to teach without a voice is not fun.

Congratulations on the moving ahead with the paper!

As to the question. I dunno. I'm waiting for real-life Tivo. Getting to go through life with the bad parts cut out. Sounds ok to me. :P
