The Unexpected

I have been a member, for quite some time, of the Scientific American Book Club. I'm working on disentangling myself, but I have a lot of Bonus Points I want to burn off before making my exit.
One of the problems is that you earn Bonus Points every time you order a book (except when you use your Bonus Points). Throw in my tendency to procrastinate and the fact that, as usual with such clubs, you get sent the Monthly Selection unless you notify them not to send it, and... well, sometimes I find myself going backward.
None of which is what I wanted to write about. The real topic is this. The latest unexpected package from SABC included, among other things, a book - "a surprising excursion through the astonishing world of math" - whose author chose to title it...
Here's Looking at Euclid.
:sigh:
