Today, I gave a quiz in my Calculus class. One of the students was a bit slow finishing, so I waited for him as the students in the next class filed in. As I waited, one of the latter, whom I'd never met, came up and asked, "How long have you been growing that beard?" "Uh, I started it in early October." "Awesome. I wish I could do that."
