It appears that the lengthy separation took a toll on Gracie's sanity. She's been racing around the house all evening, barking at God knows what. (I certainly don't; occasionally she'll stop and focus her attention on a single spot, but there's never anything there.) Now she's got Buster going too.... (I don't allow barking before 7 AM or after 9 PM, but it's not yet 7 PM, so I'm letting it ride.)
They've both been rather clingy since I got back. When I sit down, Gracie climbs on me. I don't mean she gets into my lap; she climbs up my torso and onto my shoulder, licking everything she can reach. Buster has been demanding a lot of lap time, too.
They'll settle down in another day or so.
