All's Well That...

stoutfellowLest the last post lead anyone to believe that yesterday was a Bad Day, let me mention that homecoming went a long way towards redeeming it. The dogs were absolutely delighted to see me; Gracie went bipedal, and Buster did the Circle Dance of Joy. It took a while before they settled down. (Not that I was trying to settle them down, me.)
A bit later, I was in the bathroom when Gracie walked in, looked at me for a moment, and... hopped into the bathtub. (Forepaws on the rim; all four paws on the rim, balancing; forepaws down inside; all inside.) I wouldn't have thought the tub had any pleasant associations for her, but she went snuffling up and down, showing every sign of enjoyment. When I finished my business, I called for her to follow me. She put her forepaws up and made jumping motions, but seemed unable to get out, so I scooped her up and set her on the floor. I have a mental image of coming home one day to find her in the tub, having been stuck there for the last two or three hours.... Silly mutt.
