Damn. The eclipse is just a few hours away, and the sky is wall-to-wall clouds.

Oh, well. The next one is only three years off.

I missed the start of it, as I had to watch "West Wing." Though from the height it is now, I imagine I couldn't have seen it all the way from the beginning anyway--too low in the sky, and there's a light cloud bank to the north and east. Pretty right now, though. Sorry you're missing it! :(

We were not supposed to be able to see anything, due to a large, rainy cold front that was scheduled to move into Arizona. When I was taking Alec to the youth group meeting, the clouds were more scattered and moving quickly, so we DID get to see a little bit of it. Then, the kids voted to go outside rather than finish the activity to see if they could see it (there's hope for humanity, after all (g)). Once again, it was hard to get that glimpse, but the clouds parted just enough so we got one good shot. Fortunately, it wasn't too cold and hadn't started raining yet, so Alec didn't have to stay inside.

It was cloudly all day here, too. Annoying, isn't it?

Yah. I missed the partial eclipse a while back too, for the same reason.
