Ben

Ben had another bleeding episode last night. There were no epinephrine ampules left; all I could do was sit with him, mopping the blood off his muzzle and trying to get him to keep his muzzle elevated.

I had had a vet appointment yesterday morning, but the rainy weather forced me to reschedule; the earliest I could get was tomorrow at 4:00.

I have two classes today, and there are two committee meetings scheduled as well. I'm going to bag the meetings; I don't want to leave Ben alone for any longer than I have to. If he starts bleeding badly again, I'm taking him in, appointment or no.

Addendum, 8:15: I just called in and canceled my classes as well. I'm going to call the vet and see if I can run by and pick up some more ampules.

Well, the situation seems to have stabilized for now. The estimate is that he has at least another couple of months.
