The semester's almost done. I've given my two Stat finals, and the take-home geometry finals have been handed in. I'm a bit less than halfway through grading the Stat tests; I'm planning to go in tomorrow to finish the job, and to get started on the geometry tests. Unfortunately, we're slated for 6-9 inches of snow tonight....
Two students showed up for the Stat final an hour and a half late, having been under the impression that the test was at noon instead of 10am. I found a place for them to sit down and take it back at the Math Department; this was less easy than it sounds, as the departmental Christmas party was in full swing.
Three stat students failed to put their names on their papers. Fortunately, I had a few uncollected tests and quizzes left over, and I was able to identify the handwriting on one of the three. Of the two unaccounted-for students, one was male and the other female, and I hazarded a guess as to which test was which.
Fifteen of the sixteen geometry students got their tests in by the 4:00 deadline. I waited until 4:15 (the last moment I could, given the bus schedule) before leaving. An answering machine message tells me that #16 was slipped under my door at about 4:30.
Sigh. I'm tired.
