Firewall Follies

stoutfellowToday, I finally got around to updating my copy of ZoneAlarm. The download, over a dialup connection, took about 50 minutes. I then installed the update.
It would not let me onto the 'Net. I rooted around, looking for tech support, which is available online. (No good.) Alternatively, tech support can be contacted via fax - if, of course, you have a fax machine, which I do not (nor do I desire one). There's no support phone line.
It took me about twenty minutes before I finally managed to find the setting that allowed me access to the 'Net. (Well, turning ZA off worked, but somehow that doesn't appeal to me.)
I logged on and began my usual trawling. Suddenly, ZA announced that there was a Very Important Update and I should Update My Copy Immediately. My copy which I had purchased and downloaded less than two hours earlier....
I am now downloading the update. Estimated time: about fifty minutes.
