Although I wasn't able to use the wagon O gave me for its originally-intended purpose, I've still found it useful. With [livejournal.com profile] mbernardi coming in a couple of days, I had to head over to Target to get some more linens (and replace those damaged by Ben's little difficulty) and also to get a new microwave oven. (The old one blew out a couple of months ago. Conventional ovens are still preferable for many purposes, but microwaves are so convenient for certain things...) Even if it weren't so hot today, and even if I weren't getting the microwave, carrying those bulky linens half a mile or so would have been a sweaty business. The wagon, though, made it a breeze. (It's much better than those two-wheeled, fold-up grocery carts, for my purposes; those don't have much carrying capacity, and they've always seemed fragile to me. No fear of either of those with a Radio Flyer!)

That done, I indulged myself by blitzing through HP7. I found it a reasonably satisfying read, all things considered, but it'll be a long while before I reread the series.

Tomorrow is Clean-The-House Day....

I was the second in my family to read HP7. My oldest daughter got it first on days 1 and 2. I read it on days 3 and 4. My wife finished on day 7 after release. Now it's in the hand of my youngest daughter.
The book was ... (edited because that opinion might have ruined things) and I enjoyed reading it. But I agree with you - it will be a long time, if ever, before I read the series again. I think it's time to read Lord of the Rings again
