Jehoshaphat
Jul. 27th, 2004 09:08 pmWhen I go out of town, I usually let my dogs stay at home; I hire someone to come by and feed and water them. (My house has a doggie door and an enclosed yard, so they can get outside when necessary.) I also have him bring in my mail and newspaper; I keep a box on the mantel for him to put the mail in. This has interesting consequences occasionally.
At the end of May, I went to Balticon. When I returned, there was a small pile of mail in the box on the mantel. I riffled through the more urgent-looking items, and pretty much forgot about the rest until just recently. Unfortunately, one of the less-urgent items was this year's property tax bill... I sent in the first installment yesterday, more than a month late (and therefore about $28 larger). Also in the box was a small package, sent by
filkferengi. I'd been expecting that; it contained recordings of various filksongs I had expressed an interest in. I finally got around to opening it this evening.
It contained 16 CDs.
This I was not expecting.
Thank you,
filkferengi. I look forward to listening to this bounty.
