Okay, this is getting irritating.
There are a couple of webcomics I follow - or try to follow - on the www.moderntales.com site. For the last I-don't-know-how-long, I've been having trouble accessing that site. Here are the details.
When I check it from the office computer, using IE, I generally have no difficulty. Going in from home, using Firefox, I get a timeout notice. Going in from home using IE sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. This afternoon, I went in with IE and reached the site. Then (without closing IE) I opened Firefox and tried again; this time I got through. I closed both, cleaned up with AdSubtract, and reopened Firefox: timeout again.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this strange behavior?

I also note that this started happening this summer (around the time my ISP did an upgrade). I am wondering if the DNS service used has anything to do with it. That might explain the difference between work and home.
Just guesses.

I conclude that, whatever was going on, enough other sites and other users were being affected that TPTB took notice and corrected it. At least I hope that's what's happened.
