I must have walked past it a dozen times or more without noticing it, but there is a chef's supply store not three blocks from me. I now own a non-electric coffee grinder, and also a garlic press. I'll have to go browsing there sometime.
I also just paid a visit to Amazon, to order some more music: Roger Miller, Sam Cooke, Sly and the Family Stone, and Arlo Guthrie. I got almost all of the songs I was looking for. (I'm most especially looking forward to adding "King of the Road", "Chug-a-lug", "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)" and "City of New Orleans" to my collection, but there's a lot of other good stuff on these albums.)

Date: 2006-12-14 04:09 pm (UTC)That must have been bad! Did you sink to chewing on unground coffee beans? I might have. Although my coffee palate is so plebian as to enjoy instant coffee and what we call "girly" coffee: the flavored instant cofees. I make a mix of the two for my 3 cups of coffee in the morning. I know; anathema to coffee purists (g).
