Up the River
Sep. 2nd, 2018 09:29 amYesterday, for the first time this year, I did some shopping on the Big River.
I downloaded three F/SF works: Bujold's "The Flowers of Vashnoi" (which I immediately gobbled down); _1637: The Volga Rules_, the latest Ring of Fire volume; and James Corey's _Leviathan Wakes_, the first volume of the Expanse series. I ordered dead-tree editions of the 10th _Fables_ volume, _The Good Prince_, and R. McNeill Alexander's classic volume, _The Dynamics of Dinosaurs_. (I don't buy electronic versions of graphic novels, and I find hardcore nonfiction to be better in solid form.)
On the musical side, I ordered _The Essential Lou Rawls_, _The Best of Sweet_, and Katy Perry's _PRISM_. (I frequently order CDs for the sake of a single song; in these cases, the triggering songs are "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine", "Fox on the Run", and "Roar".)
A good haul, I'd say.
