Idyll's End
Aug. 3rd, 2012 07:47 pmThe new semester begins on the 20th. I've been thoroughly lazy this summer, but it's time to get in harness. I'll resume going onto campus daily on Monday. (Besides preparing for my fall classes, I think I've got a lead on the obvious follow-up questions to my prisms paper.)
Both of my classes this fall are on a Tuesday-Thursday schedule, which is nice since we won't lose a day to Labor Day. (A lot of our classes are Monday-Wednesday, and the always-on-Monday holidays wreak havoc.)
I can't really say it's been a pleasant summer - too many triple-digit highs, too many and too long Excessive Heat Warnings, and when there wasn't an EHW there was a Heat Advisory. I didn't even get a whole lot of reading done. Just bone-lazy....
The semester should be, umm, interesting. I can only hope that it'll be in a good way. Then there's November 6....
