Among the seasonal pleasures, for me, is football. I rarely watch football during the regular NFL season, but when I'm in San Diego, well, it's on the TV, and this late in the season interesting things are happening. So, in addition to the usual delights, I have had the opportunity to watch the Chargers eke out an exciting win against Cincinnati and annihilate Tennessee. Also, I have had the pleasure of seeing Indianapolis and the New York Giants both lose. (As a Chargers fan, I have an abiding grudge against the entire Manning clan, and it did my heart good to watch both of the boys get clobbered this weekend.) The Chargers will go into the playoffs as the second seed in the AFC. (I'd kind of like to see a San Diego-New Orleans matchup in the Super Bowl. Rivers vs. Brees....)
