Springer Verlag is one of the pre-eminent publishers of advanced mathematics in the world. Naturally, I've occasionally ordered books from them; more, I've ordered quite a few of their books through other venues, notably the AMS, the MAA, and Amazon.

Springer has now instituted "SpringerAlerts", to notify their customers of new publications and such. They just let me know that I'm on their list, and sent a list of keywords they've attached to my profile:

Algebraic Geometry
Applications of Mathematics (general)
Game Theory, Economics, Social and Behavioral Sciences
History of Mathematics
Mathematical Logic and Foundations
Mathematics (general)
Number Theory
Topological Groups, Lie Groups

It's not a bad representation of my mathematical interests, although combinatorics should be there, and geometry more broadly. Still, I'm wondering how they assembled the list. Algebraic geometry, history of mathematics, and number theory, yeah, I've ordered quite a few books on those topics over the years. I don't know what they mean by the two "general" categories. The "game theory etc." category probably comes from my purchases of books on voting theory, plus the Von Neumann/Morgenstern volume I bought a year or two ago. Logic and foundations... maybe Lawvere's Conceptual Mathematics? I don't recall buying anything else in that area in the last twenty years. I have no idea why the last item is there; the last time I bought a book in that area was 1977 - Hewitt & Ross, Abstract Harmonic Analysis, which was the textbook for one of Dr. Fan's classes.

Hmm... What does my entry on the AMS roster say? I haven't looked at that, much less updated it, in many years. Maybe that's their source....
