Editing

Does anyone else feel compelled to go back and edit old posts for typos, grammatical clumsiness, and the like? Or am I just obsessive that way?

Seriously, except in very special cases I only edit my latest post and I usually do that quickly after posting. All the errors surviving when the next post is made stays. That's a practical limitation because it is easy with Semagic to edit the last post.

I wouldn't say "compelled". But I do reread old posts fairly regularly to get a feel for what was going on in my life a few years ago and if I do see an error, I correct it. (Except in cases where it became a topic of comment; that would just look petty.)

I'll occasionally correct things even in that last case, but I'll use strikethrough and (usually) note the change.

Well, I do the compulsive editing *before* posting, but, aside from that, yeah...
