Jane Jacobs

Urban theorist Jane Jacobs has died. She was sharp, iconoclastic, and very readable; The Economy of Cities and Cities and the Wealth of Nations (the only two of her books that I've read) are fascinating. She'll be missed.

You should mention this over on the main LMB-list. Other listies have probably enjoyed her books too, & you could get some fun discussion going. Throw in some token references to Vorbarr Sultana or cities in the Chalion universe, & it'd even be on-topic.
