Sunday night, I must have slept wrong or something; I seem to have tweaked my back. For the last couple of days, I've been getting an occasional expression of displeasure from the right side of my mid-back.

This morning, I did something to my left knee, and it's been twinging me at intervals all day.

Neither of these is continual, but each keeps zapping me from time to time without warning. It hasn't been too bad so far this afternoon, since I've mostly stayed at my desk. But in about fifteen minutes, I have to go give a lecture, and I'll be engaged in that for most of the ensuing three hours.

I suspect that this isn't going to be fun.

Ouch. My sympathies, and here's hoping that the judicious application of ice and anti-inflammatories helps you get through the lecture.

Actually, it went better than I expected. Between classes, and during the first few minutes of each class, I got a few twinges, but once I made it into full-on lecture mode, everything else dropped away. (Of course, I'm paying a bit of a price for that now, but I'm safely home and can do whatever's necessary.)

I'm glad to hear it.

Maybe some judicious limbering-up would help before you went on-stage?

Here's hoping you feel better soon.

P. S. My chiropractor always said to sleep on your side in a fetal position with a pillow between your knees; maybe that'd work for you.
