Ah, San Diego

The winter storms have reached Southern California. The wind is howling and the rain is bucketing down outside.

Feels kinda homey. Only thing missing is the thunder.

There is nothing so lovely as the rumbling or crack of thunder, when one is safely tucked inside, preferably with a fire going - and the electricity still running, of course!

I do hope you are not floating away on the day before your birthday! And do please send some rain our way! We SO need it. None of the storms have brought actual rain to us - it's so dry that any that falls evaporates long before hitting close to ground!

Alas, the storm was rather brief, but it was fun while it lasted. My father's place is well inland, and SD wasn't hit nearly as hard as points north; today is a bit chilly (by SD standards) and dampish, but it isn't raining.
