My university has joined with a number of others in the area: spring break is being extended by one week, during which time we will be working on - possibly, it's not settled yet - transitioning to entirely on-line instruction for the remainder of the semester.

This is going to be a bitch.

Needs must when the devil drives?

Last people-who-can-do-actual-stats I saw has the outbreak peaking around July (if it doesn't subside in the heat). I would generally expect things to be non-standard for awhile.

I've seen some suggestions of a second wave in fall; that happened with the Spanish flu, and the second wave was considerably worse.

One way or another, it's going to be a while before things restabilize.
