What The?

This is a minor question, but I can't seem to find the answer. I know there's at least one person with library skills who reads this, so: I know that book titles are alphabetized ignoring initial "A", "An", "The". Question: in recording the title, is the initial article always transposed to the very end, or might it be placed after the noun or phrase it governs - "Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, The" or "Lion, the, The Witch, and the Wardrobe"? The former seems a little clumsy to me, but I don't recall whether I've ever seen the latter. Any thoughts?
