Alphonse-Gasdog
Oct. 22nd, 2012 01:15 pmIt happens more nights than not. I've snugged down for the night, with Buster curled up by my head and Gracie burrowing under the covers, when Gracie Hears Something. She begins barking wildly, struggles out from under, and leaps to the floor. By this time Buster's been roused, and he jumps from the bed at almost the same time. Both of them race for the bedroom door, en route to the doggie doors and the back yard. The distance is short enough that, even if Buster doesn't actually land on Gracie, they get tangled in the doorway, snarling at each other until they finally get clear.
Last night, they actually began fighting in the doorway; that stopped when I shouted at them. Gracie retreated to her safe spot under the bed, and Buster raced out to confront... whatever it was.
