The End of the Day

stoutfellowLast night, the dogs were thoroughly rambunctious; I doubt I got as much as four hours sleep.
Today was unnecessarily hot. I would just as soon have stayed home, but I had appointments with a couple of students.
One or two less-than-pleasant things hit my desk as soon as I got to work.
When I got home, I made another improvised noodle dish, but didn't cook the noodles enough. It was edible, but could have been better.
I am getting ready to go to bed. I just took the dogs out into the back yard to do their business. They romped around briefly before asking to be let back in. There were fireflies - just a few - and though it was a little too light still, they were there.
Frisky dogs and fireflies make up for a lot.
